Involvement of the orthopaedic society to develop leaders, strategies and resources to guide the greater future of care for musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

Mission of TOA

To promote, encourage, foster learning to attain highest quality and most cost effective practice of orthopaedic surgery and related matters.

The Objectives of TOA
  1. Growing and refining vast arrays in orthopaedic and trauma knowledge, care and surgical practice.
  2. Integrate and expand knowledge on scientific and clinical doctrine of orthopedic and trauma surgeries to better prevent and treat musculoskeletal disease and injuries.
  3. Promote an understanding of economic and practice management challenges hence leading to strategies that protect continued access to care for patients and viability of the profession.
  4. Provide a forum to strengthen professional relationships and develop networks for better patient care, individual surgeon career growth, and a more robust profession at large.
  5. To provide a forum for the presentation of basic and clinical research for current and future potential applications in the musculoskeletal- related conditions.
8TH SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to Arusha for 8 th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Tanzania Orthopedic Association! The top meeting in Orthopedics and Trauma offering a wide array of compelling line up of Education sessions for all attendees and opportunities to networking and socialize with colleagues from all around the country and around the world and as well enjoying the vibrant backdrop of Arusha.

This year you will have the opportunity to practise with others in the Surgical Camps that are set in 2 different hospitals, namely Mt Meru Regional Referral Hospital and as well at the Selian Lutheran Hospital, Ngaramtoni with teams of other surgeons from Switzerland (AO Alliance), Spain, India and the USA who will also joint you in the scientific conference.

In addition to the Surgical camps and the General Meeting you will be able to explore a city of Arusha, that is sorrounded by National Parks like Serengeti, Tarangire, Manyara with Moutain Meru and Kilimanjaro that can be seen from a town centre, in that case a international diplomatic and touristic centre as well.

Don’t attempt to miss this opportunity to come and spend the whole first week of July in Arusha.
